Pay attention to B vitamins, particularly folate and B12. Leafy greens, eggs, pulses, and fortified cereals are all useful sources. If your diet is light on these, a B-complex supplement is a low-cost, low-risk option worth considering.

Think about timing around alcohol. Eating before and during drinking slows alcohol absorption and gives your gut a better chance of absorbing nutrients from your meal. Drinking on an empty stomach is where nutrient losses tend to be most acute.

Hydrate deliberately. Drinking water alongside alcohol won't replace lost minerals, but it does reduce the diuretic effect to some extent and supports kidney function.

Consider a vitamin D supplement regardless. Given UK latitude, it's broadly sensible, but it becomes more relevant if you drink regularly.
